51kW Commercial Solar Install, Autobarn Tamworth

A 51kW rooftop solar system for Autobarn Tamworth, designed around a tricky roof and delivered on the client's timeframe.

Project at a Glance

Autobarn Tamworth came to us looking to cut the energy costs of their store. A retail business that trades through the day is a great fit for solar, because most of the power is used while the panels are producing.

The roof needed some careful planning. We worked through the structural engineering requirements, designed the panel layout around the existing rooftop units, and left space clear for an evaporative air conditioner the store plans to install later. The final system is 51kW, using high-performance LONGi panels and our trusted Fronius inverters for durability and efficiency.

Our own team handled the design, installation and commissioning, and we delivered it within the client's timeframe. With an estimated payback of around three years, the system is already making a real difference to the store's power bills.

The Challenge

Autobarn Tamworth wanted to bring down the running costs of their store with a large rooftop solar system. The roof came with a few hurdles - there were structural engineering requirements to work through, existing rooftop units to work around, and space had to be kept clear for an evaporative air conditioner the store plans to add down the track. On top of that, the job needed to be finished within the client's timeframe.

The Outcome

We designed and installed a 51kW system using LONGi panels and Fronius inverters, laid out around the roof's existing equipment with room left for the future aircon. The system was installed and commissioned on schedule, and with the store using most of its power during trading hours, it's on track to pay for itself in around three years.
